Retired principal detained while delivering ransom to kidnappers in Kaduna

A retired principal who was sent to deliver ransom to bandits to secure the release of a victim has been detained in Kaduna.

This was disclosed by former Kaduna lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani on his X handle on Tuesday, January 16.

He said that the retired principal volunteered to help deliver the ransom to the kidnappers who were holding their victims in Birnin Gwari in Kaduna state.

The Senator says it’s been three days now, and the retired principal is yet to be released.

His post reads; “A retired School principal who volunteered to deliver ransom to kidnappers in order to secure the release of a victim has also been held by the kidnappers in Birnin Gwari LG, Kaduna state.

“He’s been in captivity for 3 days now, the abductors made calls to his family for his ransom.”
