[PHOTOs] GWR: Kogi man ends 200-hour ironing marathon at 142 hours — Here’s why

A Nigerian, Dauda Abdulfatai, attempting to set a new record for the longest ironing marathon, has terminated his 200-hour attempt after exceeding 142 hours.

Abdulfatai is looking to surpass the current record holder, British named, Gareth Sander.

Commencing the marathon last Wednesday at Off Ajaokuta Road, Ganaja Village, Lokoja, Kogi State, Dauda had obtained approval via mail from the Guinness World Records.

Having surpassed 142 hours in the ironing marathon, Abdulfattah El-Okene not only exceeded Gareth Sanders’ 2015 record for a 100-hour ironing marathon from the UK but also ironed an impressive 2,249 garments during this remarkable feat.
