FAAN denies banning ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bags at Nigerian airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has denied banning the usage of travel sac-like carrier popularly known as Ghana Must Go for travelers using the country’s airports.
There were earlier reports of the rumoured ban but clarifying, FAAN said it has not.
In a post on Twitter (formerlly X), FAAN said the ban was a decision of the Ethiopian Airlines and therefore should not be generalised.
In the clarification, FAAN informed the general public to “note that Ethiopian Airlines issued a prohibition of the use of Ghana must go on their flight and not FAAN. Thank you”.
Ghana-must-go bags are popular sac-like load carriers in Nigeria that come in different sizes and colours and are preferred by many owing to their durability and affordability.
On why it banned the popular sac-like load carrier, Ethiopian Airlines said; “The use of Ghana Must Go as a means of packing baggage has cost the airlines huge loss and also damaging the conveyor belt system, not only on out flight but also on other foreign airlines, hence the prohibition.”
