Gunmen have tragically taken the life of the traditional ruler of Otulu Community in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria’s South-east.

The victim, Joe Ochulor, was abducted from his palace on Saturday morning and his lifeless body was discovered on the roadside in Mbutu, a community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area. The news has sent shockwaves through the villagers, who are now living in fear.

The police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, has confirmed the killing and assured the public that the police will do everything in their power to apprehend the culprits. This incident adds to the worsening insecurity in Imo State, where armed attacks have become alarmingly frequent.
