Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, stage name “OdumoduBlvck“, says the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, was defeated due to the lack of support from the likes of Lagos State Park Management Chairman, Musiliu Akisanya, aka MC Oluomo.

Recall that Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, was defeated by former governor of Lagos state, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 presidential elections.

Explaining the rationale behind the loss, OdumoduBlvck, while addressing a crowd during his album listening party in Abuja on Thursday night, said Peter Obi would have stood a chance if he had “an MC Oluomo”.

In the now viral video on social media, the rapper, while reacting to claims that he dedicated one of his new songs titled ‘MC Oluomo’ to the popular Lagos road transport boss, said the claim is nothing but false.

According to him, contrary to the claims, he was, in fact, on the other side of politics during the election.

He emphasized that Obi, whom he supported against Tinubu, would have easily won the election if he had the support of someone like MC Oluomo on his team.

He, however, enjoined his fans to ensure they have “MC Oluomo” within them in order to succeed at anything they do in life.

He said in parts, “They started insulting me that I’m singing for MC Oluomo, idiots. Declan Rice is not about Declan Rice. MC Oluomo is not about MC Oluomo.

“I myself was on the other side of politics supporting Peter Obi. But I can’t even lie if Peter Obi had an MC Oluomo we would have had a chance. Person wey be sey when they are winning us for ballot box he go sey common una papa, scatter am. That’s what we need to take the country, power is not given, it is taken. Whatever you are doing in your life, have MC Oluomo in you.”
