Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, firmly refutes an online platform’s report that alleged his opposition to Jafaru Sani’s nomination as the successor to his predecessor, Nasir el-Rufai, for the state’s ministerial position.

Governor Sani emphatically dismisses this claim, asserting that his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu was solely aimed at addressing concerns surrounding Mr. El-Rufai’s ministerial nomination.

Governor Sani categorically labels the report as baseless conjecture, intentionally crafted to sow discord between him and Mallam El-Rufai. He sets the record straight, emphasizing that his visit to the president was motivated by genuine apprehension about unfolding events. He reaffirms his belief that both himself and Mallam El-Rufai share a common dedication to the nation’s well-being.

Addressing the inaccuracies within the report, Governor Sani clarifies, “The only accurate aspect of the story is my meeting with the president. Everything else is devoid of truth, merely fabricated to foster division between me and Mallam El-Rufai.”

Furthermore, he underscores that discussions during his meeting with the president did not extend to the topic of selecting a replacement for the ministerial position. Governor Sani underscores that such considerations are of minimal concern to him, firmly asserting his alignment with Mallam El-Rufai’s decisions. In a resounding declaration of unity, he assures that any choice put forth by Mallam El-Rufai for the ministerial role would receive his unwavering support.

Governor Sani’s statement resounds with confidence as he declares, “We are in complete accord. Those familiar with our relationship can attest that these allegations are wholly unfounded. The source of this misinformation is evident, but it holds no sway over us.”
