Dr. Sikiru Adekunle Tinubu was on July 11, 2023, announced as the personal physician to Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sikiru Tinubu, a highly qualified medical professional with a specialization in General Surgery obtained his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 1989, demonstrating his commitment to medical excellence.
Dr. Sikiru also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from George Washington University, which he completed in 1985.
According to Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Dr Sikiru is the director of LORDUS MEDICAL AND SURGICAL SUPPLY COMPANY LIMITED, a company incorporated in Lagos on 30 August 2005.
A report claimed that prior to his appointment, he was Director Critical Care Unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
As a General Surgeon, he possesses the knowledge and skills to perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including “excising small skin lesions and cysts up to larger cases like colectomies (removal of some or all of the colon), procedures on the bowel and liver including gallbladder removal, and complex hernia repairs.”
