Fans war as Grammy organisers describe Wizkid as ‘up-and-coming artist’

The Recording Academy, organisers of Grammy Awards, is currently under fire from Nigerians for referring to afrobeat superstar, Wizkid, as an “up-and-coming artist”.

The American award organisers had written Wizkid’s name under a post that read: “Who is an up-and-coming Black artist everyone should have on their radar?” shared via their Instastory.

Aside from Record Academy receiving a backlash for the post, music fans have also engaged in word war over the post.
