This is very pathetic.

Nigeria’s debt stock in 2015, when President Buhari took over, was 12 trillion dollars, but now it’s about 77 trillion dollars.

A few days before the end of his government, Buhar is asking for another $800million.

From top to bottom.

We condemn President Buhari’s request for an $800 million loan in the most unequivocal terms.

This request is a clear attempt to use taxpayer money for personal gain. It is also a slap in the face to the Nigerian people, who have already been burdened with too much debt.

The National Assembly must hold off on approving this loan until the next administration is in place. This will give the new administration time to review the loan and to make sure that it is used in a transparent and accountable way.

We also call on the National Assembly to conduct a thorough investigation into the corruption that has plagued the National Social Safety Net Programme in the past. Ensuring that the new administration is able to use the loan effectively and that the money is not wasted.

We urge the National Assembly to take these concerns seriously into account when making its decision about whether or not to approve the loan.

The people of Nigeria deserve to have a government that is transparent and accountable, and that is committed to using taxpayer money wisely.
