Meet Christian Anieke, the 15-year-old who breaks UTME record; scores 329

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is responsible for conducting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The total score for the UTME is 400, and five years ago, a student, Chidera Obi, took the nation by surprise when she scored 329.

But there is another Sheriff in town named Christian Anieke. Anieke, in the just concluded 2023 UTME scored 337 to emerge the overall best while breaking Obi’s record.

The Vice Chancellor, Godfrey Okoye University (GOU), Enugu, Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, has offered him a full scholarship.

Azuokeke is said to be a 15-year-old boy who hails from ?ba in Idemmili South Local Government Area and a student of Bishop Otubelu Juniorate, Trans Ekulu, Enugu.

Details of his score were: English: 64; Mathematics: 99; Physics: 86 and Chemistry: 88, totalling 337.

Lotanna Azuokeke is a student of Bishop Otubelu Juniorate, Trans Ekulu, Enugu.

“Report shows that Azuokeke applied to study electrical/electronic engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).”
