Tragedy as Train crushes Lagos govt staff bus with workers onboard
An unspecified number of people have been injured after a passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus at PWD area of the state.
The incident happened around past 7am on Thursday.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, said rescue operation was ongoing.
“The accident recorded many casualties as the staff bus is fully loaded with govt staffs going to office this morning.”
“Good morning. There’s been a major accident involving a train and a BRT bus early this morning. Our first responders are on ground, working to rescue passengers. No information yet about fatalities but a number of casualties confirmed. Further details will come later. Thank you.”
