Hadiza Aliyu popularly known as Hadiza Gabon is a Kannywood actress.

Kannywood is the Hausa movie industry in Nigeria.

Age

She was born on June 1, 1989, in Libreville, Gabon. Deducing from her date of birth, Hadiza Gabon is presently 33 years old but would be 34-year-old by June 1, 2023.

Hadiza is the daughter of Malam Aliyu, an elder statesman.

Hadiza Aliyu is of Gabonese descent on her father’s side and Fulani ancestry from Adamawa State, Nigerian on her mother’s side.

Education

Hadiza Gabon attended both her primary and secondary school in Gabon, which is her birth country.

The actress also wrote her A-level examination in Gabon with the desire to study law but had to drop out at some point due to reasons best known to her.

She later attended a diploma program in French Language and became a French teacher at a private school.

Husband and children

Aliyu has never gotten married. It has also been clarified that a daughter that has been said to be hers, is her niece. The daughter of her sister, Maryam Gabon.

Career

Hadiza Aliyu moved from Gabon to Nigeria in 2009 to become a movie star. She moved to Kaduna State where she joined the Kannywood film industry. Not long after, she made her debut in the same year when she was cast in Artabu.

She later decided to extend her career by joining the Nollywood film industry in 2017 where she was featured in the movie “Lagos Real Fake Life” with other celebrities like Emmanuella, Mike Ezuruonye, and Mark Angel, among others.

Achievements and Source of wealth

Aside from being born into an affluent family, Hadiza has worked with a number of big brands as their ambassador.

Hadiza was an ambassador of MTN Nigeria and Indomie food company.

She received the Best Actress Jury Award at the 2nd Kannywood Award sponsored by MTN Nigeria.

She founded HAG Foundation in 2016.

Political affiliation

Hadiza Aliyu Gabon supported the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential election campaign period.

Controversy

As a recognised actress, in 2019 The chief magistrate court orders the arrest of Aliyu over failure to appear in court to clear allegations against her by her colleage Mustapha Naburaska.

Late 2022, Hadiza Aliyu was accused of breaking a marriage promise she made to a man called Bala Musa, a civil servant at his late forties.

Musa claimed that he and Hadiza were on agreement to marry each other after spending N396,000 on her, but she refused after all.

Mr Musa told the court, “So far, I have spent N396,000 on her. Anytime she asks for money, I give her without hesitation with the hope that we will marry”.

Hadiza denied ever knowing the man.

The complainant’s counsel had presented a copy of the bank statement to the court and told the court that some four persons were the recipients of the money claimed to be sent to the defendant.

Two out of the four, Fatima Abdullahi and Abdullahi Yusuf claimed to be the defendant’s friend and personal assistant respectively.

They pleaded guilty to impersonating the actress and receiving money in her name praying court to forgive them.
