2023 Election: How To Locate and Confirm your Polling Unit Before Election Day

After the mock election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), the umpire discovered loopholes where some people appeared in a polling unit(PU) different from their PU of registration.
The commission has released procedures to check and confirm your PU before the election date to address this and other issues that might occur, which can disenfranchise the electorate.
According to INEC, there are two ways of locating and confirming your PU.
The text messages method and the use of the INEC website.
To make the confirmation via SMS, the electorate should text their state of residence, Lastname and the last six digits of their Voter’s Identification Number(VIN) to 09062830860 or 09062830861 to confirm their PU.
