Biography

Karim-David Adeyemi is a professional footballer who plays for the German national team and Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. 

He was born on 18 January 2002 in Munich to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother.

The striker is one of the most talented young footballers in the world at the moment.

Education

Karim Adeyemi attended The Walter Klingenbeck School.in Munich

Club Career

Adeyemi started as a youth for TSV Forstenried before joining FC Bayern München in 2010.

He eventually left the club to join SpVgg Unterhaching in 2012.

The talented striker made his debut for the U19 team in 2018. His first goal came for the club against Eintracht Frankfurt U19.

Adeyemi then signed a three-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg. The club loaned him to FC Liefering for the season till the end of the season.

He returned to Red Bull Salzburg and had a very impressive season with the club before he joined Borussia Dortmund.

In 2022, Adeyemi joined Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract until the summer of 2027. The transfer was a reported fee of £33m.

A 4–1 away win over Sevilla was his first Champions League goal with Borussia Dortmund in October.

Against Chelsea in the round of 16 of the Champions League on 15 February 2023, he scored the only goal of the match to give his side a win.

International career

Adeyemi was eligible to play for Romania, Nigeria and Germany, but he chose to represent Germany.

He represented Germany under-16s, under-17s and under-21s. His performance with the junior side earned him a call-up by the senior team.

He made his debut for the senior side as a substitute on 5 September 2021 in a 6–0 win at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification against Armenia.

He also made the German national team at the 2022 FIFA World cup in Qatar.
