Top 10 artists with the most Grammy Awards

At the 65th annual Grammy award, famous American singer, songwriter, and dancer Beyonce broke the record for the most Grammy wins of any artist, scoring her 32nd prize ever and fourth of the night to resounding applause.

Her Album, “Renaissance,” gave her her most anticipated award in the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album category, thus surpassing the late classical conductor Georg Solti, who had 31 awards.

Below is a list of 10 artists who top the chart of performers with the most Grammy awards

1. Beyoncé – 32 Grammy Awards

After 88 career nominations and 32 wins, the superstar won her fourth trophy of the 2023 awards, giving her the record for most Grammy victories to become the most decorated artist in history.

The singer broke the record previously set by Georg Solti, a Hungarian-British orchestral and operatic conductor who has 31 of the awards in his cabinet.

He repeatedly won Grammy awards for his work as an outstanding recording artist. Throughout his career, he produced more than 250 recordings.

3. Quincy Jones – 28 Grammy Awards

Quincy has won 28 prestigious Grammy awards, with 80 nominations. The famous record producer and planner is known for producing an all-time best-selling album, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, in 1982. 

Additionally, he is credited for producing the film The Color Purple in 1985 and the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1996.

He also organised the all-star charity recording “We Are the World” in 1985 

4. Alison Krauss – 27 Grammy Awards

Until 2021, Krauss held the record for the most Grammy Awards won by a female artist and was among the most awarded singers, but she was surpassed by Beyoncé, who won her 28th Grammy.

She is also a record producer and fiddler. Krauss has won numerous awards, including 27 Grammy Awards, and is regarded as one of the greatest bluegrass musicians. Krauss has collaborated with a variety of musicians and released over 14 albums.

5. Chick Corea – 27 Grammy Awards

Chick Corea was an American jazz pianist, keyboardist, and composer. He was regarded as one of his generation’s most influential jazz musicians.

He pioneered jazz fusion, blending jazz with rock, Latin, and classical music elements. 

Corea won 23 Grammy Awards and recorded over 80 albums throughout his career. He passed away on February 9, 2021, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

6. Pierre Boulez – 26 – Grammy Awards

Pierre Boulez was a composer, conductor, and music theorist from France. He pioneered musical modernism and was a significant figure in twentieth-century classical music. 

Boulez was a conductor of prominent orchestras, such as the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra, and a vocal supporter of contemporary music. His compositions are distinguished by their use of intricate melodic structures as well as unique orchestration and sound. On January 5, 2016, he passed away.

He had 26 Grammy awards and 67 nominations before his death in  2016

7. Vladimir Horowitz – 25 Grammy Awards

Vladimir Horowitz was a Ukrainian-born American classical pianist and composer. He is considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century and was known for his virtuosic playing, brilliant technique, and captivating performances. He was celebrated for his flawless technique and an almost orchestral quality of tone.

He was renowned for his interpretations of Ludwig van Beethoven’s, Frédéric Chopin’s, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s works.

8. Stevie Wonder – 25 Grammy Awards

Stevie Wonder is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is widely considered one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century and one of the finest musicians of all time.

He is well-known for his multi-instrumental work, having played the piano, harmonica, and drums, among others. 

The R&B icon has 25 grammy awards 25 with 74 nominations.

9. Jay-Z – 24 Grammy Awards

Jay-Z is the husband of the all-time Grammy awards winner, Beyonce. He is one of the most successful rappers of all time.

The talented hip-hop and billionaire has a record of 88 Grammy award nominations and 24 wins.

10. Kanye West – 24 Grammy Awards

Jay-Z and Kanye West are tied with 24 grammy awards each and have won more Grammy Awards than any other rapper.

Since the 2005 ceremony, he has earned a nomination at every ceremony except for 2007, 2018 and 2023

He has 24 Grammies to his name with 75 nominations
