‘For the first and last time’: Comedian Basketmouth ends marriage with wife, Elsie

Popular comedian, Bright Okpocha, stage name “Basketmouth”, has on Thursday announced the end of his marriage to his wife, Elsie.

The actor in an Instagram post captioned “For the first and last time” humbly asked the public to “respect our privacy as we navigate through these times”.

His text photo reads in part; “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.

“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.

“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need”.

In a post earlier in the year wishing Elsie Okpocha a Happy Birthday, Basketmouth had wrote; “Best birthday wishes to not just an amazing wife but also a wonderful mother. Enjoy your day my love @elsieokpocha”
