Cities are dangerous for locals and tourists due to criminal violence incidents. The deadliest potential threats to international peace in any area are such actions. Even though crime shows are exciting on the big screen, they are not as appealing in real life.

As a result, you should be aware of where the danger is most pronounced. If you have to travel to one of the world’s deadliest cities, knowing this will make it easier for you to take some safety measures.

Here is a list of some of the world’s deadliest cities with the highest homicide rates per capita, according to a report by the Citizens’ Council for Public Security and Criminal Justice:

Murder rate: 138 per 100,000 inhabitants

With 138 homicides per 100,000 residents, Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world. In this city, nearly seven people are killed every day.

Poverty and violent crimes like rape, homicide, kidnapping, etc., are well-known in this city. The main causes of this violence are gang-related drug dealing and human trafficking. The rivalry between the Tijuana and Sinaloa cartels contributes to the violence.

2. Acapulco – Mexico

Murder rate: 111 per 100,000 inhabitants.

One of the most dangerous cities in the world is Acapulco. The Hollywood elite used to enjoy this city as their playground, but now the drug war is happening on the streets. The stronghold of gangs like 221 or Los Locos, which include kidnappers, assassins, extortionists, car thieves, and killers, is in its hillside neighbourhoods. This violence results in 111 homicides per 100k people.

The primary cause of the tourism industry’s destruction is this unrelenting violence. Because locals and visitors find these activities terrifying, some less wealthy business owners pay for security because they cannot afford security systems. You should ride in a bulletproof car if you want to visit this city for your safety.

3. Caracas – Venezuela
