Winning Team (Brazil) – USD 8 million. The total prize money at the World Cup increased by 52% in 2002, while the amount for the winning team increased by 33%.

Total Prize Money Fund – USD 1 billion

Winning Team gets $42 million and the Runners-Up -gets USD 30 million. The third-place team gets $27 million. There is a 26 percent in the total money allocated for this year’s world cup compared to 2018.
