5 Tips for a Memorable Detty December without Breaking the Bank

The festive period is a time most Nigerians look forward to every year.

It is usually a time to take stock of the outgoing year and enjoy the last few days of the year with friends and families.

However, your plans for a fun-filled holiday could be hampered by lack of funds.

But not to worry, you can still have a banging December with life long memories on a budget with our tips.

1. Buy Tickets on Time

At this time of the year, there are usually several events to unwind and have a swell time with friends, colleagues and family.

You will find loads of musical concerts, comedy events and even fashion shows lined up for the festive season.

So, if you have plans of attending any event this period, you should buy tickets early to save some cash.

Avoid a late rush which could mean paying more when you could have paid less only days earlier.

2. Be on the look Out for Bonuses

At this period of the year, many companies and service providers will be looking to give back to their customers and society in general.

There will be promotions, bonuses and many other mouthwatering offers.

Even on tickets to events at this time of the year there will be rewards for early birds. You are also likely to get a gift from your local supermarkets or shops for being a loyal customer.

And if you are the type that likes to make money from your sporting passion, you can make use of any of the betting bonuses listed on this bonus aggregator site.

3. Attend Street Parties/Carnivals

Street parties and carnivals have become part of the Nigerian Yuletide culture. So much so that state governments bankroll carnivals in states like Cross River state for example.

These parties and carnivals are cost free alternatives to paid shows and concerts where you have to pay to see your favourite acts.

Here, you get to watch the top rated artistes at no cost and you will enjoy the convivial atmosphere.

4. Organise House Parties

House parties are another fun gathering to be during the Yuletide season.

At these types of parties, you have the opportunity to network with one another and meet new people.

What if you do not have a party to attend? You can get a few of your friends to contribute towards making an enjoyable party happen.

This is where the age-old Potluck comes into play.

Food, Drinks and Barbecue will be provided by different persons in a communal effort to ensure the party is memorable.

5. Save some Cash

Remember, there is still life after the wild parties of December. You will have bills to pay in the following dreaded month of January.

It is always wise to have fun with caution knowing fully well that January is just around the corner.

So, saving some extra cash will go a long way in saving you from the grasp of sapa in the month of the New Year.
