Chidi Mokeme is a Nigerian actor and reality show host. He was born on 17 March 1972 in Anambra State, Nigeria.

The seasoned performer is well known for his roles in the movies Abuja Connection, Agony of a Mother, and ’76, which had its world premiere at the Isabel Bader Theatre during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.

Being the host of reality programs like Gulder Ultimate Search has made him well known. His Amazon Prime program, “The Therapist”, is currently hosted by him.

Chidi had his primary education at Salvation Primary School in Surulere, Lagos, before heading to the Federal Government College in Mina, Niger State, for his secondary education.

He then proceeded to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he bagged a National Diploma in Computer Science Technology before heading to Yaba College of Technology for a Higher National Diploma.

Chidi Mokeme began his modelling career in 1998. As part of his job, he represented a number of brands in the marketplace. He worked with many renowned organisations, including the renowned telecommunications company Vodafone. In 2003, Chidi made his Nollywood debut. Since then, he has appeared in over 100 Nigerian movies.

Chidi is one of the few fluent speakers of Yoruba, Hausa, and his native Igbo dialect in Nigeria, which is to his credit for his success as an actor. Because of this quality, he has become such a versatile actor that he has appeared in various films. He has appeared in a lot of Igbo and Yoruba movies.

In the early 1990s, Mokeme made some of her first significant appearances in Nollywood dramas. Goodbye Tomorrow, Igodo, Visa to Hell, Secret Goldmine, My Story, Omotara Johnson, Armageddon King, and Hitch are just a few of the movies in his filmography.

Chidi co-starred in the 2019 drama Pillars of Africa with Hollywood actor Hakeem Kae Kazeem. The movie also featured Sola Sobowale and other well-known actors. Mokeme received a well-deserved “best actor in an independent film award” at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards for the 2021 film.

In January 2022, Mokeme starred in the independent drama Half Heaven. In Douala, Cameroon, the movie was filmed. Chidi plays a villain who has killed numerous people but is evading the police.

The excellent actor also serves as a reality show host. He became well-known after serving as the host of the Gulder Ultimate Search for its first two seasons. He now hosts “The Therapist,” an Amazon Prime program.
