“Rap in Nigeria died the day Dagrin died” – Reactions as Wizkid lashes out at ‘broke rappers’

Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has lashed out on some ‘broke rappers’ This is coming days after the singer said rap was dead, a development that elicited mixed reactions from his fans and some of his colleagues..

In a fresh post on his Snapchat, the singer went on to ‘broke shame’ rappers. Grammy award-winning artiste took to his Snapchat account to double down on his earlier statement.

Wizkid via the platform noted that the rap artistes he recognizes in Africa are South Africa’s Nasty C; Ghana’s Black Sherif; as well as Ghana’s Sarkodie.

He said, “Can’t believe y’all broke boys really thought Big Wiz will talk about y’all wow! “Y’all keep sending una popsy rap videos! go dey watch maybe fit help una mama life!

Moreso, Wizkid labelled the rap artistes as ‘broke boys’ as he wrote via his Snapchat account, “Broke boys, can’t believe y’all broke boys really thought Big Wiz will talk about y’all. Wow. Y’all not even rappers! Nasty C, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, the only rappers in Africa. Y’all dumb.”(sic)
