5. India

India, the second-most populous nation in the world, is a gorgeously chaotic place where the technicolour tuk-tuks that line the streets and the pungent aromatic spices that fill the air are delightfully juxtaposed with the myriad of peaceful yoga retreats and secret sanctuaries hidden in the hilltops.

The best time to see the sights in Goa and Kerala is during monsoon season, while Jaipur, unquestionably one of India’s most beautiful cities, is a year-round destination with a wealth of things to do.

4. Singapore

This diamond-shaped island is one of South East Asia’s most popular travel destinations, fitting for its glitzy reputation. The city-state, perched on the Malay Peninsula’s tip, has an impressive trophy cabinet considering its diminutive size.

Singapore is not only a haven for shoppers, but its flagship airline and the food served on board are among the best in the world. With nearly half of its land set aside for parks and gardens, the city is also one of the greenest.

3. Thailand

Thailand is a popular tropical destination with abundant secluded hideaways, breathtaking tropical islands, and spas all exude rest and renewal. In the meantime, any weary traveller will find joy in Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife and delicious street food. Chiang Mai is a must-see for thrill-seekers, but Phuket should also be on your travel itinerary.
