Biography

Mohammed Musa, also known as Moe Musa, is a British-Nigerian AfroBeats music video director, film director, cinematographer, television commercial director, A&R man, and media executive.

Moe was born on 7 April 1984 in Lagos. 

He has collaborated on video productions for several musicians in Nigeria and abroad. He has also received numerous awards and nominations.

Education

Moe Musa attended Carshalton Boys High School before proceeding to the University of West London, where he bagged a degree in Media.

Career

Moe Musa began as a freelance filmmaker before making his directorial debut in 2009. He later founded his video production and media company, Mr Moe Musa Productions, where he produced, directed and edited his groundbreaking music video, Antenna, with Wyclef Jean for Fuse ODG in 2012.

Following the video’s release, Musa directed a follow-up titled “Down on One” for Sarkodie and Fuse ODG.

In 2013, he produced Wizkid’s “Azonto” music video and was nominated for Best Music Video Director at The Headies. Moe also worked with Wizkid to produce “On Top of Your Matter.”

In another capacity, Moe produced Davido’s “Skelewu,” Tiwa Savage’s “Wanted,” and 2Face Idibia ft. Fally Ipupa. Other songs where he was involved in the video production include “Diaspora Woman,” “Bobo,” “Wavy Level,” “Turn Up,” “Melo Melo,” “Letter To Milli,” “Bum Bum” by Diamond Platnumz, “SSound” ft. Teni,” and “Waka Ft. Rick Ross.”
