Top Nigerian Pastors With Failed Marriages

Nigeria is a deeply religious country with many influential men of God.
These men of God are not without flaws, and they have all made or experienced mistakes in their marriages and felt the need to end them.
The following is a list of top Nigerian pastors who divorced their wives or vice versa.
1. Pastor Chris Okotie
Pastor Chris Okotie, the founder of the Household of God church, is another influential man of God who ended his marriage with his wife.
After four years of marriage, the man of God divorced his former wife, Stephanie Henshaw, in 2012 due to irreconcilable differences.
2. Pastor Ituah Ighodalo
Pastor Ituah Ighodalo was a well-known Redeemed Christian Church of God provincial pastor (RCCG).
Pastor Ituah Ighodalo was asked to leave the church immediately after divorcing his former wife to remarry another woman.
Ighodalo previously married Lucy-Ann Summer, whom he divorced. In 2007, he married Ibidunni Ajayi.
3. Pastor Joshua Iginla
The Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly is a popular Abuja-based pastor Joshua Iginla.
He made a shocking confession in 2019 when he revealed that he and his wife, Yemisi, both had children outside of marriage.
When his wife brought an illegitimate child into their home, the man of God said he forgave her, but she refused to forgive him when he had his child with another woman.
Both, however, divorced afterwards.
4. Chris Oyakhilome
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the Reverend and Founder of Loveworld Ministry, also known as Christ Embassy.
After 22 years of marriage, the man of God and his former wife, Anita, divorced after she filed for divorce in London due to alleged infidelity.
5. Pastor Chris Okafor
Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle ministry, is another man of God who has had a failed marriage.
His ex-wife, Bessem, the mother of their four children, left their home in 2012 and hasn’t returned since.
In 2014, she accused him of assault and even shared photos of where she claimed to have been beaten by the man of God.
