Brymo’s musical career began in 1999, while he was still in high school, when he recorded the song “future.” His musical inspiration came from his mother’s renditions of Fuji songs. He formed ‘The Aliens’, a musical group with a few of his friends, in 2002, but the Aliens disbanded in 2005 due to various issues. He then launched a solo career without signing with a record label.

The video reached number one on Nigezee and number two on MTV’s African top 10 countdowns.
In 2010, he began moving with the well-known Nigerian rapper M.I, who introduced him to Jesse Jagz and Iceprince and signed him to the Chocolate City Music label. He has been dubbed “the master of hooks” due to his role in the success of Ice Prince’s monster-hit single Oleku.
His role in the hit song “Oleku” on Ice Princes’s ‘Everybody Loves Ice Prince’ shot him to the limelight in 2010.

Brymo rose to prominence in 2010 after appearing in Ice Prince’s first studio album, Everybody Loves Ice Prince, on the hit song Oleku.
On September 18, 2011, Brymo released his debut single via Chocolate City. Many hailed Brymo as Nigeria’s hook master within a year of his public debut and without having released a mainstream single, but this quickly changed after the release of the track ARA.
The song topped the Cool FM Top Ten and dominated the MTN Nigeria Top 10 Jamz chart, and Ara was the sixth most popular topic on Twitter worldwide. He has collaborated with M.I., Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Ill Bliss, Sasha, 2 Shotz, Playboy, Sarz, and Mikky Mi, among others.
Brymo is also the author of two books, ‘Oriri’s Plight’ and ‘Verses’.

Brymo reportedly called out 2Face Idibia in October 2020 for falsely accusing him of sleeping with his wife, Annie. Brymo also claimed that he was attacked by men loyal to the Afrobeats star for unknown reasons.
2Baba, through his lawyers, responded by calling Brymo’s claims false and threatening to seek N1 billion in damages.

Nigeria has enough installed generation to power a mid-sized country. The grid delivers less than half of it. Around the world, the race to build AI-ready power infrastructure is already underway — and the decisions African governments and investors make in the next eighteen months will determine...

The 1990 film Green Card told a relatively innocent story: a French immigrant and an American woman enter a marriage of convenience so he can stay in the US. They barely know each other. They hope never to see each other again after the deal...
In the competitive landscape of legal services, personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys are finding themselves overshadowed by competitors who dominate online visibility. The root of this issue lies in the digital presence that many firms lack. While traditional word-of-mouth referrals still hold value, the digital age...
Dr. Lazarus AngbazoThe nascent AI revolution is not just driving electricity consumption and massive demand for additional capacity—it is reshaping how power is built, maintained, and delivered. For Africa, the real risk is no longer just insufficient capacity—it is also losing control and ability to manage the capacity it...

The first thing you feel when you land in a country is not its culture, not its cuisine, not its people. It is its airport. That threshold, the space between the jet bridge and the city beyond, tells you everything a nation believes about itself...

Criminal networks have turned Nigeria’s telecom towers into open-air warehouses for theft, looting 656 critical power assets across 14 states in 2025 alone and keeping up the pace in early 2026.

I have seen enough cycles of tension and resolution to recognise when restraint must prevail over confrontation. The current standoff between the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is one such moment. 10 months until the 2027 general elections, Nigeria’s opposition landscape appears increasingly fractured, disorganised and strategically weakened.
