A young lady (whose identity is yet to be confirmed by authorities) plunged into the lagoon at the third mainland bridge in Lagos state on Thursday as eyewitnesses were left in total shock and panic, calling out to emergency services shortly after.

The young lady was reported to have suddenly dropped from a car, likely to be a cab, sped off to the edge of the rims of the bridge, and jumped into the lagoon.

The Lagos state emergency management agency (LASEMA) had already deployed its rescue team to search for the lady. Confirming the development, LASEMA permanent secretary Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said his team is currently handling the situation, and the search has proceeded.

But, Jackson Ude, the publisher of Pointblanknews.com, has revealed that the lady who jumped into the Lagos lagoon on Thursday, November 10, is an official of the Department of State Services (DSS). Ude made the revelation on Twitter with a photo of the lady he identified as Adetutu Adedokun.
He wrote while sharing a photo of the lady: “This beautiful lady named Tutu, a staff of the Department of State Services, DSS, jumped into the Lagos Lagoon after a heated argument with her boyfriend.

“Only four months ago, Tutu got commendation from the DG, DSS, as the best unarmed combat operative in her set.”

NewsWireNGR cannot independently confirm if the lady whose image appears here as shared by Mr ude is the same person that plunged into the Lagoon.
