Ademola Lookman Olajade Alade Aylola Lookman is a Nigerian national team footballer who plays for Serie A club Atalanta.

Lookman, who plates as a winger, was born on the 20 October 1997 in Wandsworth, London, England

Club Career

Lookman started his football career with Waterloo, a youth football club based in the London Borough of Lambeth, before joining Charlton Athletic’s academy in 2016.

He scored his first goal for the club in a 3–2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

In 2017, Lookman signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Everton on 5 January 2017 for an undisclosed fee. He made3 his debut for the club in a 4–0 victory over Manchester City. He had his first opportunity to appear in European competition with the club in a 1–0 win over MFK Ružomberok in the Europa League third qualifying round first leg.

Lookman left the club during the January 2018 transfer window to join the Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. He netted his first goal for the club during his debut match against Borussia Mönchengladbach after coming on as a late substitute.

Ademola then joined Premier League side Fulham on a season-long loan before another loan to Leicester City.

In August 2022, Lookman joined Serie A club Atalanta on a four-year contract for a reported fee of €15 million.

International Career

Lookman began his international career with the England youth teams, rising to the under-19 squad. He was instrumental for the young lions at the Under-20 World Cup, scoring three times as England won the tournament.

Lookman was given a cap for Nigeria in 2018 because he had yet to play for England, but he turned it down when Gareth Southgate convinced him that he was still a part of his plans. However, it never arrived, and he finally proclaimed his allegiance to Nigeria in 2020.

He earned his first cap in 2022, albeit it was hardly a memorable game – a draw against Ghana after Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup. He has made four appearances, scoring one goal against Sao Tome and Principe.
