Alhaji Kareem Adepoju, famously known as “Baba Wande”, is a Nigerian film actor, director, scriptwriter, and producer.
He was born on January 6, 1945, in Oshogbo. Baba Wande is 77 years old as of 2022.
Career
Kareem Adepoju’s professional acting career began in 1963. Before joining the Oyin Adejobi Theatre Group, he trained for a year under Chief Oyin Adejobi, a Nigerian formal theatrical artist. For more than four decades, Baba Wande has portrayed a variety of notable roles on stage and in film.
He finally becomes one of the most coveted actors in the Oyin Adejobi Company.
He also gained prominence as the focal point of the group’s epic compositions, such as “Ekuro Olaoja,” “Oba Igbalode,” and “Kuye.”
Baba Wande was shot into the limelight in 1993 after he starred as “Oloye Otun” in the movie titled Ti Oluwa Ni Ile.
Many people still see him as a versatile performer. He is well-known for his ability to raise the roof on comic occasions while also being a joy to see when the role requires some seriousness.

Previously, he was known as Lasebikan in the mid-week serial “Kótù Ashipa.” Then he starred in another made-for-TV movie titled “Èkùr?? ?l??ja” as Ayelaagbe or Laagbe for short. He played a usurping villain in it. Then “Ile Tí A Fi It?? M?.” In it, he was Mr ?t?kiti.
He has collaborated with several actors in the film industry, including Funke Akindele, Kunle Afolayan, and Moyo Lawal.
