No ‘Obidients’ in Ondo, Akeredolu says as Tinubu visits Afenifere leaders

Ondo Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared that there are no supporters of Labour Party’s Presidential candidate Peter Obi in the State.

Peter Obi’s supporters are known to identify as “Obidients”.

Akeredolu, who was represented by his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, spoke in Akure when presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited Afenifere leaders to present and explain his manifesto to them.

The Ondo Governor said the State was ready to deliver owing to his stand that power must shift to the South.

He said the power shift must be to the Southwest region.

Tinubu arrived at the airport in Akure earlier in the day and was received by the State’s Deputy Governor, the State’s APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, and other leaders of the party in and outside Ondo.

Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the former leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-political group, has prayed for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu got the endorsement on Sunday after visiting his residence in Ondo State, barely four months before the commencement of the presidential election.

The APC leader also used the opportunity of the visit to present his action plan to Fasoranti and the leaders of the group.
