Oxlade, real name –  Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, is a singer and songwriter.

He was born on April 22nd, 1997, in Surulere, Lagos.

Oxlade is signed to Troniq Music, Epic Records in France, and Fuenlabrada Records in the UK.

With the release of “Away,” one of Rolling Stone’s 50 best songs of 2020, he gained notoriety. In July 2022, Oxlade was selected as the inaugural Pandora Africa’s Next Artist.

Being a featured artist on Blaqbonez’s hit single Mamiwota gave Oxlade his big break in the music industry. A&R and music executive Bizzle Osikoya took notice of him and decided to take Oxlade under his wing and develop him into a music star.

As a result, he signed with Troniq Music and The Plug. He also obtained agreements with The Plug Entertainment for publishing, licensing, and distribution.

His solo song, “Questionnaire,” was a sudden hit nationwide. However, Questionnaire’s commercial success pales compared to Oxlade’s breakthrough single, Away, from his debut EP, Oxygene.

The EP was followed by another single, DKT. Dammy Twitch directed the video, and the song peaked at number 13 on Billboard Top Triller Global Chart.

After months of dropping hints about a follow-up project, Oxlade dropped his second EP, titled Eclipse. One of the biggest songs of 2021, Ojuju, a song from the EP recorded remarkable success it gave Oxlade a second entry on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart and spent more than five weeks there.

A hit song by Dolapo called “Interest” featured Oxlade and Ms Banks earlier in 2021. The track was made available in January 2021. Months after collaborating with Ice Prince on the song Kolo, released in March 2021, he landed his second collaboration.

Oxlade has participated in a number of live performances in Africa, North America, and Europe. He performed at Davido’s City Of David Concert in Lagos in December 2018. He performed at the London Starboy Fest in 2019 as one of Wizkid’s opening acts.

Want You is the singer’s first single for 2022. Another d his song making wave at the moment is KULOSA.

In February 2022, Oxlade’s sex tape was leaked from Snapchat and went viral on Twitter. The woman in the video publicly announced her intent to sue Oxlade for 20 million naira. Oxlade apologised to his followers and the woman in the video later in February
