Fashion Mogul ‘Ronke Ademiluyi’: Ooni’s Latest Wife

Princess Ronke Ademiluyi is not a new face in the corridor of royalty, especially in Ile Ife. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Ooni Ajagun Ademiluyi.

She recently married the latest and reigning monarch of Ile Ife, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye.

Ademiluyi, a law graduate, was born in England, the United Kingdom. She is the creator of Africa Fashion Week, a project that supports African fashion designers through its affiliates, Africa Fashion Week London and Nigeria.

Ronke attended Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School before heading to Thames Valley University in London to bag a degree in legal studies.

The princess is a fashion entrepreneur, a producer of musicals, an author and a cultural ambassador.

She has been working with Ooni Adeyeye since 2017, when the monarch named her the Heritage Ambassador for Queen Moremi Legacy as part of his initiatives to enhance Yoruba culture. With this position, the Princess upholds Moremi’s legacy and serves as the living embodiment of the great African heroine. Ronke is also the author of ‘Unspoken’ Oba Obinrin.

Ronke founded Africa Fashion Week in Nigeria and London in August 2011. She currently serves as its CEO. It is an annual event that includes two days of free fashion festivities, a fusion of African culture, fashion style, and music, and a celebration of London’s distinctive and diverse cultural heritage.

Since 2011, she has produced at least ten events under the auspices of AFWL, including the Mayor of London’s Black History Month celebrations, and hosted eight catwalk events. Nearly 70,000 visitors, including buyers, retailers, key industry figures, and media members, saw over 800 emerging designers and exhibitors from Africa, Europe, and America. She is currently a key event on the yearly fashion calendar.

On 20th October 2022, Ronke married the Ooni of Ife, who made her his fifth bride days after his marriage to his fourth wife.
