Popular businessman, IVD has been arrested following the death of his wife, Bimbo

Popular auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna also known as, IVD, has been arrested. Ikechukwu Ogbonna’s arrest is in connection to the demise of his wife known as Bimbo Ogbonna over allegattions of domestic violence.

FaMily sources say, Bimbo had confronted Ikechukwu over some issues, which later degenerated into a scuffle, during which their apartment was set ablaze, burning Bimbo in the process, while Ikechukwu escaped with minor burns.

Unfortunately, Bimbo died on Saturday, October 15, 2022, after battling for life at the Intensive Care Unit for over 48 hours.

In a tweet posted this evening, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, says he has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba.

“Contrary to claims by family and friends that 37-year-old Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD is on the run, he has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba”.
