‘Peter Obi is a liar’: Obidients are deluded — el-Rufai

The governor of Kaduna state, Nasir el-Rufai, has described supporters of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), as “delusional”.

Quoting a tweet by a user, @jeffphilips1, who alleged the LP candidate of usually “deflects and lies so much that he forgets which lie he has told and what he actually said”, the governor in support of the accusation said; “How do you keep track of all these consistent inconsistencies?. Please let the delusion of the Obidients remain intact until the electorate speaks louder and clearer than Twitter trolls in February 2023, by the Grace of God”.

His comment is coming few hours after Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made a blunder while speaking at the seventh Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit (KADInvest).

Speaking at the event on Saturday, Tinubu said Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna, turned a “rotten situation to a bad one.”

“I am openly begging governor el-Rufai not to run away from additional degrees like PhD or others. There are educated derelicts,” the former governor of Lagos said.

“We are not going to let you run away. Your vision, creativity and resilience in turning a rotten situation to a bad one are necessary at this critical time and that is why we are here.”
