1. Rico Swavey – 29

Patrick Fakoya, famously known as Rico Swavey, was a legal practitioner, artist, movie actor, reality TV star, social media influencer, and former Big Brother Naija season 3 housemate.

Rico was involved in an accident in which he had to be hospitalized.

Rico was 29 years old before his demise.

2. Bisi Komolafe – 26

Bisi was a fast-rising Nollywood actress who died on December 31, 2012,, from complications related to pregnancy at the University Teaching Hospital in Ibadan. 

The young, attractive actress passed away tragically when she was only 27.

3. Zara Gretti – 28

Margret Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph is a Nigerian singer, famously known as Zara Gretti.

She died on March 28, 2014, from Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

She was 28 when she passed.

4. Goldie – 31

Susan Oluwabimpe Filani Harvey, famously called Goldie, was a fast-rising female artist in Nigeria before her untimely death on February 14, 2013.

She died when returning to Nigeria from the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, USA. Goldie complained of headaches and was rushed to the hospital before she died.

An autopsy revealed Goldie died of “hypertensive heart disease,’ which triggered an “intracerebellar haemorrhage.”

She died at 31.

5. CD John – 27

De John Chijioke, fondly called CD John, is a famous comedian known for his jokes on imaginary Igbo female choristers.

He died at CD St. Nicholas Hospital from complications arising from an accident after his black Gulf 2 car ran into a stationary vehicle on Lagos Island.

CD John was returning from Questionmark act,  Harrysong’s album listening party held at Tribeca, where he was the MC when he had the accident that later took his life.

6. Kefee – 34

Kefee Obareki died of lung failure on June 12, 2014, in a hospital in Los Angeles after spending 15 days in a coma.

She was 34 at the time of her demise

7. MC Loph – 33

Nwaozo Obiajulu, famously known as MC Loph, is an indigenous Igbo rapper who also died in his prime on the Benin-Ore expressway.

His promising career was truncated when he was involved in a terrible accident on September 14, 2011.

He was  33 at the time of his death.

8. Muna Obiekwe – 36

Muna Obiekwe, a beloved and well-known Nollywood actor, was well-known in Nigeria before he tragically passed away on January 18, 2015, following a protracted battle with kidney disease.

He died at 36 

9. Dagrin – 25

DaGrin was a Nigerian indigenous rapper who died at the age of 25

He was involved in a horrifying car accident on April 14, 2010, and died on April 22 

his car slammed into a stationary truck in front of the Alakara Police Station in Mushin, Lagos

The rapper was seriously severely in the ghastly collision but managed to survive, but eight days later, after being admitted to the hospital and having surgery, he passed away.

10. Tosyn Bucknor – 37

On November 19, 2018, Tosyn was found dead by her husband when he got back from work.

Oluwatosin Tosyn Bucknor, a prominent media figure in Nigeria, passed away on November 19, 2018, due to complications from sickle cell.

Tosyn passed away at the young age of 37
