World’s Most Expensive Toys – One Can Buy You An Aircraft

To the typical individual, spending a lot of money on toys may seem insane because everyone knows that kids destroy toys rapidly. 

However, the luxury toys on this list are not intended to be played with. Instead, the toys on this list are one-of-a-kind designer items valued at hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. 

These toys have high-carat jewels, genuine gold, and fancy clothes. Some of these toys are so rare and unique that they are housed in museums and occasionally displayed at special exhibitions.

5. Shimansky Soccer Ball – $2.5 Million

In preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Yair Shimansky, a South African jeweller, unveiled a diamond-encrusted soccer ball to commemorate the competition. 

The Shimansky Soccer Ball was encrusted with 3500 carats of South African diamonds, 6620 white and 2640 black round brilliant cut diamonds. The soccer ball was worth $2.5 million at the time.

The Shimansky Soccer Ball took more than three months to create. 

4. Madame Alexander Eloise – $5 Million

Only five Madame Alexander Eloise dolls were made, fetching $5 million at the auction. Each doll is adorned in Swarovski crystals, Katherine Baumann accessories, Oscar de la Renta fur, and Christian Dior clothes.

The dolls were created for a charity auction in 2000.

3. L’Oiseleur – $6.25 Million

L’Oiseleur (“The Bird Trainer”) is one of the world’s most expensive toys, with a price tag of $6.25 million.

The doll, designed by Christian Bailly, is an automated, self-operating machine with 2,340 polished steel pieces. Bailly, an automaton expert, and a team of 12 craftsmen worked for nearly 15,000 hours crafting L’Oiseleur.

According to the most recent press reports on the doll, it is stored at Bailly’s workshop and has only been on display once.

2. Gold Lamborghini Aventador Model Car – $7.5 Million

For years, rumours about this Gold Lamborghini Aventador Model Automobile lingered in the car collecting world before it was ultimately shown in 2011. It was developed by Robert Gülpen to be the most expensive model car in the world.

The Gold Lamborghini Aventador Model Car’s materials cost approximately $2.6 million. The carbon body, doors, and bonnet are covered in solid gold. 

Additionally, the vehicle is adorned with platinum, sterling silver, and high-carat gemstones.

1. Astolat Dollhouse Castle – $8.5 Million

The Astolat Dollhouse Castle is the world’s most expensive and uncommon toy, valued at $8.5 million. 

Master miniaturist Elaine Diehl constructed the stunning, museum-quality Astolate Dollhouse Castle with the help of craftspeople worldwide. 

Diehl worked on the castle for thirteen years. The interior is divided into 29 rooms and associated regions, with roughly 10,000 distinct interior elements.

The Astolat Dollhouse Castle is only displayed on rare occasions, usually to generate funds for charity.
