Reactions as Anambra man names newborn baby after Tinubu

A Nigerian Facebook user, Osita Eze, has generated quite a number of reactions from Nigerians after he disclosed the name of his newborn baby as Somtoo Tinubu Bertrand.

The Anambra indigene who is a supporter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) 2023 presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a post late Thursday on his Facebook page said; “Somtoo Tinubu Bertrand just arrived. Same day our Jagaban arrived from London. What a coincidence. Ngwa si ba nu m congratulations!!!”

Tinubu had to the cheer of supporters arrived in the country after a few days of travelling abroad.

The man’s post has however generated different reactions. Below are some:

SmartPolician: “If not that tribalism has destroyed our brains in this part of the world, this is how it is supposed to be. For God’s sake this is one country. A Nigerian would rather answer Edwin, a British name, than bear a name from a tribe they share a country with. The JuJu the white man is using on Africa is damn potent. Congratulations to the man!”
