Who is Mohbad?
Mohbad, real name, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji was born June 8, 1996 in Lagos. He died at the age of 27 in September 12, 2023.
He was one of Nigeria’s top-rising music talents at the moment. Mohbad is a rapper, singer and songwriter signed to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Records.
Mohbad was a rapper, singer and songwriter. He became a public sensation after signing with Marlian Records. Mohbad alongside other music stars like Zinoleesky, Fabian Blu, and C Blvck are all record label members.

This allowed him to work with other A-list artists in the Nigerian music industry.
He soared to international prominence in 2020 after collaborating with music artist and producer Rexxie on the release of Ko Po Ke (KPK). The song featured in many Street Pop and Afrobeats charts which made him a sensation that music lovers began to love.
Later in 2020, he dropped another single, Balan Zia Gar
Through consistency, he has been able to deliver some more hit tracks like Real Hustlers, Balan Zia Gar, Ronaldo, Jaabo, See My Bounzer, Fire, Oja, Adura and Owaale between 2019 and 2022/
Mohbad also has an 8-track EP, Light, to his name, which includes songs like Sorry, Marlians Anthem, Ponmo, Omokomo, Once Debe, and Cinderella, amongst others.
Relationship
Mohbad was in a romantic relationship with longtime girlfriend, Omowunmi. They have a 5-month-old boy together.
The name of his son is Liam.

Controversy
On 5th of September, 2022, Mohbad alleged that he was assaulted by members of his record label, Marlian Music, for requesting to change his manager.
In a tweet with a video clip, Mohbad was seen with a bruise on his shoulder, while voices could be heard in the background of another video stating he was overpowered and abused in the sight of label owner Naira Marley, who did not interfere.
The tweet was captioned, “Just because I want to change my manager which is their brother, see what they did to me at Marlian House”
