MC Tagwaye, real name, Obinna Simon, s a popular Nigerian comedian, Businessman and Actor.

He was born on April 18, 1986, and is currently 36 years old as of 2022.

His striking resemblance with the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, coupled with his capability to mimic the president’s speech and mannerisms, gave him an edge in the comedy industry.

MC Tagwaye, a native of Anambra State, was born and raised in Kastina State. This allowed him to understand and speak Hausa fluently.

 Tagwaye, his moniker, means twin in Hausa. This gave a hint into his life as a twin. His twin brother, Prince UC Ingawa, is a successful businessman, contractor, and importer of mobile phone parts and accessories.

He rose to prominence in 2011 after watching a clip of President Buhari’s interview with Sahara Reporters. This inspired him to mimic the president as his comic niche.

In 2015, MC Tagwaye delved into comedy fully after President Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in as the president of Nigeria.
