A former Chief Medical Director of Kaima General Hospital, Dr. Abass Adio Adeyemi Adebowale is currently in the custody of the Police in Kwara State.

And he is already singing like a canary, confessing to the killing of his girlfriend and burying of another married woman in his office.

Police spokesperson in Kwara State, SP Okasanmi Ajayi disclosed the confession of the suspect.

Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has assured Nigerians that the country would be safe by the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure next year.

At least 12 communities in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State have been submerged in flood as River Niger overflowed its banks as a result of torrential rain fall.

The affected communities include Udaba-Ekphei, Anegbette, Ukpeko Orle, Ofukpo, Agbabu, Osomegbe, Udochi, Yelwa, Ake Island and Ifeku Islay.

Residents of these communities had to flee because the water level in most of the communities rose above the window level of their houses. Read more.

Outspoken Enugu Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been transferred out from the Adoration Ministry.

The Adoration Ministry, which was shut down three months ago, was re-opened yesterday, Sunday.

However, in the place of Fr. Mbaka, another clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi has been posted to take charge of the Adoration Ministry. Read more.

6. Lagos billionaire drug baron arrested with 13million pills of Tramadol in VGC [NewsWireNGR]

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a large consignment of drugs in Lagos.

The substances are contained in hundreds of cartons kept in a house in Victoria Garden City (VGC).

The estate, mostly occupied by the rich, is located along the Lekki-Ajah corridor.

A hunter in Kwara state, Abubakar Abubakar, has lost one of his sons to bulletproof charm testing gone wrong.

The incident happened at Dutse Gogo town near Kaiama, headquarters of Kaiama local government of the state.

According to reports, the elder son shot his younger brother, identified as Yusuf Abubakar, while testing the efficacy of a gunshot protective charm newly procured by their father. Read more.
