World’s Most Expensive Yachts – One Will Pay Off Debts of A State In Nigeria

Over time, superyachts have evolved into the super-new rich’s favourite toy.

The owners of a superyacht can unwind in the lap of luxury while receiving assistance from the staff with anything they may require.

These luxury yachts have multiple swimming pools, dance floors, theatres, bars, and lounges. These are just a few extravagant amenities suited for the multibillionaires who own these art pieces. 

Additionally, their owners fly in style in helicopters that touch down the boat’s deck. These characteristics have led several celebrities to acquire luxurious yachts.

Below is a list of the world’s top most expensive yachts

5. Dubai – $350 Million

Before the Dubai 2006 launch, Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei had ordered the ship from the Blohm + Voss and Lürssen shipyards. His Highness Sheik Mohammed Rashid al-Maktoum had its opulent interior designed after purchasing it from Platinum Yachts.

The boat’s most opulent amenities are the sun decks, jacuzzis, and pool with intricate hand-tiled designs. The spectacular staircase’s circular glass steps undergo colour shift when sunshine enters from the upper level. Similar handcrafted mosaics with complex patterns decorate the interior.

4. Motor Yacht A+ – $527 Million (Formerly Known As Topaz)

The gross carrying capacity of Topaz is 11,589, with an overall length of 147 meters and a beam of 21 meters. The fantastic 7990 HP engine on the dual Pielstick diesel technical marvel enables it to pull at a service speed of 22.9 knots and a maximum speed of about 25.5 knots.

Two diesel generators provide energy for the Topaz’s stabilizers, other onboard electronics, and the ship’s navigational systems. A diesel generator is provided in case of emergency.

3. Azzam – $600 Million

This is a 179-meter boat believed to be the largest private yacht. The German shipyard Lürssen Yachts built a floating work of art using cutting-edge technology. Its core suite and missile defence system are impenetrable. This yacht is so perfectly balanced that the inside chandelier doesn’t sway even at top speed.

It has a combined 35,048 kW four engines, which enables it to go up to 30 mph, making it one of the fastest boats in the world.

2. Eclipse – $1.5 Billion

Eclipse, the second-largest ship in the world at 536 feet long, was built in Hamburg by Blohm + Voss. The Eclipse’s large size results from the abundance of opulent amenities on board. There are also 24 guest cabins, two pools, many hot tubs, a discotheque, three launch boats, two helipads, and a miniature submarine with a maximum depth of 50 meters.

The yacht’s main bedroom and bridge feature armour plates and bulletproof windows for maximum protection, and the Eclipse has intrusion detection systems and a missile defence system.

1. History Supreme – $4.8 Billion

The most expensive yacht in the world, History Supreme, was built by Stuart Hughes for Malaysian billionaire Robert Kuok, who owns the $12 billion Shangri-La Hotel and Resorts corporation. 

The yacht has a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton statue and a meteorite rock sculpture c. Additionally, it has a 68-kilogram, 24-karat-gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium in the master stateroom.

Some others include an iPhone covered with 500 cut diamonds, and one of two diamonds weighing 7.4 or 8 carats is available for customization on the home button for visitors.

A liquor bottle on the ship is decorated with a rare 18.5-carat diamond, estimated to be worth $45 million.
