Hafiz Oyetoro, famously known as Saka is a Nigerian comic actor and academician.

He was born on August 20, 1963, in Adegbola village in Iseyin, Oyo State.

Hafeez is famous for his impeccable hilarious roles in movies.

Saka is a Bachelor’s and Master of Arts degree holder in Theatre Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ibadan, respectively.

After acquiring his master’s from the university, Afeez joined Laffomania, a theatre group in Ibadan, as a resident artiste.

He moved to Lagos afterwards to continue his craft. Afeez met Gbenga Windapo in Lagos, who introduced him to NTA, where he bagged a role in one of the programmes, One big family.

Later, he got a role in another program, Area C.

Shortly after, he was employed as a lecturer at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), now Adeniran Ogunsanya University of Education, Ijanikin Lagos.

Afeez and Windapo also featured in ‘House Apart’ alongside Gregory Muyiwa Odutayo, managing director of Royal Roots Communications.

House Party gained engagement with the program lovers, and the trio decided to turn it into a comedy series. The first 26 episodes, which were aired, went viral and ushered Afeez to prominence.

His role in the series got him an invitation by Opa Williams to write a Yoruba serial, Abelejayan.

Oyetoro has won the heart of movie lovers with his craft. His style of acting includes comic roles delivered professionally.

Afeez has featured in many series and more than 100 films

He is currently a lecturer in the department of Theatre Arts at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, now the Adeniran Ogunsanya University of Education.

He was the main character in a 2013 MTN commercial, “I don port o” in 2013. Afeez reportedly switched endorsement from Etisalat to its closest rival, MTN. The craftsman, however, debunked this. He said “The truth is, I was never an ambassador to Etisalat. If you read all the papers, even before the ‘port’, all the journalists then, who were saying that I am Etisalat ambassador, I used to correct them that I am not an Etisalat ambassador. I was never Etisalat ambassador. I was just a model to an agency, Centerspread, who was handling Etisalat account. And when Centerspread left the account, it was given to another agency, which I was doing. I never had direct interaction between myself and Etisalat. I was just like any other model.

“So, when DDB, which was the agency, called me and they spoke with my lawyer, and the issue of ambassadorial thing for MTN came up I went. I was just an ordinary model,”

Afeez also starred in Kemi Adetiba’s blockbuster film The Wedding Party and the comedy-crime/heist film Ojukokoro (Greed).

Oyetoro is married to Olaide Oyetoro, and their marriage is blessed with three children.
