Boy Spyce (real name Ugbekile David Osemeke) was born on May 10, 2001. He is 21 years old as of 2022.

He is one of the top rising music stars in Nigeria. Boy Spyce is a signee of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

Boy Spyce attended Lagos Model College, Kankon, Badagry, for his secondary education before graduating in 2017.

Boy Spyce began as a consistent remaker of covers of popular music, posting them on social media to reach a larger audience.

His consistency made him a sensation that people awaited his next remake.

He dropped his debut single, “Weather For Two,” in 2019.

Later in 2019, he dropped various covers for famous musicians like Beyoncé, Wizkid, Blue Ivy Carter, and SAINt JHN. He also added a cover version of Jowo by Davido to his list.

His cover of Essence by Wizkid and Tems led him to a breakthrough as it went viral more than his previous covers.

This got the attention of the music boss and chief executive officer of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, and he proposed giving him a place at his music academy.

Under the tutelage of Don Jazzy, Boy Spyce’s music and songwriting were refined and improved. While at the academy, he recorded his songs and compiled them into an extended play.

Boy Spyce spent several months at the academy before Mavin Records offered him a record deal.

He was unveiled as a signee of the record label on the 14th Of April 2022, and he released his anticipated debut EP twenty-four hours later.

His debut EP is a five-track project. Songs in the project are Dreams, Wayo, Destiny, Nobody, and Bad Things. 

His self-titled debut project became one of the most streamed projects in Nigeria.

Later in April 2022, he dropped the video of “Nobody,” one of his debut EP songs. TG Omori shot the video.
