In 2013, Toyin married a fellow Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson. The union lasted for two years before they parted ways in 2015. There were reports of miscommunications and infidelity as the reason for the divorce.

Adeniyi Johnson admitted he was at fault. He said this in one of his posts on Instagram. He wrote, “I ADENIYI JOHNSON is at fault and not my wife… she reacted according to her pains and we all have different ways of reactions.”

Later, after their divorce, Adeniyi said Toyin was seeing Seun Egbegbe, a movie producer, while they were together.

Toyin would later publicly date Seun in 2016 after the divorce.

Adeniyi, in an interview, said, “When a relationship doesn’t work, both people are at fault. But when it reaches the point where someone is being painted black and the other person is being painted as a saint, it can’t be a one-man factor to crash a marriage.

“For instance, I was accused of cheating. I heard a lot, I read a lot and till now there’s no evidence. The Internet doesn’t forget.

“Seun Egbegbe, permit me to mention the name, I’m not spiting anybody, I’m just making reference, he said as at May 31 they started seeing and we still celebrated our second year anniversary by July.

“But at the same time, I take all fault. If I had managed the situation well as a man. It wouldn’t have gotten to the point it got to.”

Toyin and Seun reportedly dated in 2016. She publicly admitted this in one of her Instagram posts after her divorce from Adeniyi. She wrote, “Thanks to GOD for using you to bring happiness back to my life, you will never know sorrow and happiness will not be far from you. May GOD continue to bless and uplift you and may GOD give me the strength to be able to pay you back,

Seun Egbegbe was later caught up in a messy phone theft case which led him to jail.

Toyin, however, said she regretted having an affair with Seun. An online source reported that Toyin expressed this in an interview. She said, “I regret my relationship with Seun Egbegbe.I think I’m unlucky when it comes to love but I’m lucky with my job. I will never date anyone in the industry again.”
