37-year-old Munkaila Ahmadu killed his mum and dad in Jigawa

A 37-year-old Munkaila Ahmadu has killed his biological parents at Zarada-Sabuwa village, Gagarawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

A statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Lawan Shiisu Adam, said Munkaila used a wooden pestle to attack his 70-year-old father, Ahmad Muhammad, the village head of Zarada -Sabuwa village.

The statement added that the assailant used the object to equally hit his mother, Hauwa Ahmadu, 60, Kailu Badugu, 65, and Hakalima Amadu, 50.

“Upon receipt of the ugly report, a team of policemen visited the scene of the crime and conveyed the victims to General Hospital, Gumel.

“The said Ahmadu Muhammad and Hauwa Ahmadu were certified dead by Medical Doctor as a result of head injuries sustained while Kailu Badugu and Hakalima Amadu sustained various degree of injuries were admitted,” it added.

He said the suspect was arrested and the exhibit was recovered.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, directed that the case should be transferred to SCIID, Dutse immediately for discreet investigation and possible prosecution of the culprit.
