Top politicians whose children graduated from Nigerian schools

With the superb ability of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to embark on strike and the convenience of the nation’s employees including the President (Muhammadu Buhari), legislators (National Assembly members) and concerned ministers with the industrial actions which set students graduation years back by at least six month, below are some politicians who schooled their children in Nigeria.

Fayose

Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, in 2017 boasted that all his children are studying in the country.

His son, Ayorogbayimika, graduated from Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state.

Ngige

ASUU had in 2021 hailed the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige for schooling his children in Nigeria.

Ngige’s first son, Dr Ralph Chunny Ngige graduated from the College of Medicine, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Amaku Awka, Anambra State.

His daughter, Marilyn, graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in July 2021.

Meanwhile, his second son, Andrew Ngige, graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Abuja.

Muhammadu Buhari

Muhammadu Buhari has ten children, five each from his two marriages. In November 2012, Mr. Buhari’s first daughter, Zulaihat Junaid, died of sickle cell anemia after giving birth. Earlier, one boy – Musa- died in infancy from sickle cell anemia.

Bukola Saraki

Teniayo Saraki, daughter of Nigeria’s ex-Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in 2021 bagged her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.

Seni Saraki, Chairman of ABS Football FC and first son of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki graduated from London School of Economics on Thursday, July 13, 2017.

Nasir el-Rufai

Nasir el-Rufai’s son, Ahmad, in 2022 bagged a degree from one of the universities in London.

Abubakar Badaru

Mohammed Sani Badaru, the son of Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar, graduated from Brunel University London, in the United Kingdom.

Gbenga Daniel

Mayo, the son of Gbenga Daniel, the former governor of Ogun state, bagged a master’s degree from the University of London.

Nyesom Wike

Nyesom Wike’s son, Jordan, law degree from the University of Exeter, in the United Kingdom (UK).
