Biography
Edem Victor is a popular video editor, cinematographer, film director, editor, content creator.
He was born on the 30th of June 1996, currently 26 years old
Edem is an indigent of Akwa Ibom.
Education and Career
His journey to becoming one of Nigeria’s foremost skit editors, started when he interned with Akin Alabi, the legendary music video director.
Edem, after secondary school, could not further his education due to limited funds. So he took to opting into event planning, then computer repairs,and then finally cinematography.
Under the tutelage of Akin Alabi, Edem learnt the craft of filmmaking, cinematography, editing, and producing.
In one of his interviews, he stated that he was initially supposed to spend 3 months with Akin Alabi Films but ended up spending 3 years. During those 3 years, he was able to grasp the nitty-gritty of cinematography.
His meeting with Oluwadolarz, a popular skit maker was his first shot at stardom. “I love comedy, so when the opportunity to start making skits came, I grabbed it. The opportunity came from a social media comedian, Oluwadolarz, who was my first client. Ever since I have continued to fall deeper in love with it” He said
Edem, now an authority in the Nigerian film industry, has become the name every Nigerian expects “visuals by Edem Victor” to pop at the end of watching every comedy skit.
He also stated in an interview with PUNCH that he produces a minimum of 30 videos in a month.
In his journey as a video editor he has worked with some of the biggest names in the film industry like Don Jazzy, Oluwadolarz, Damilola Oni, Mr Macaroni, Michael Sani, Jide Kosoko and others.
Relationship
Victor is not married and as of now, nothing is known about his girlfriend.
According to an online source, Edem is worth an estimated $250,000.
