Biography
Emir Aminu Ado Bayero was born on 10 February 1961. He’s the second eldest son of the Late 13th Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero – the longest-serving Emir of the Emirate.
Aminu Ado Bayero is the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano and the 58th in the history of the ancient city.
In Nigeria, the position of the Emir of Kano is the second most important position revered by the Muslims after the Sultan of Sokoto.
Education
In the early stage of his life, Aminu received Islamic education in Kano where he learnt about the Quran, polytheism, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and Islamic jurisprudence.
He started his western education at Kofar Kudu Primary School before heading to Government College, Birnin Kudu for his secondary school education.
For his tertiary education, he attended Bayero University, Kano where he bagged a degree in Mass communication.
He also attended the Flying College in Oakland, California, USA, where he was trained as a flying engineer.
He did his one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps at the Nigeria Television Authority in Makurdi.
Career/Source of Wealth
Aminu started his career as a Public Relations Officer of Kabo Air.
He was then appointed as the Dan Majen Kano and District Head of Dala by his father before being promoted to Dan Buram.
He then moved up the rank to become the Turakin Kano in 1992, and Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida Kano in 2000.
He maintained the position before he was promoted to become the Waban Kano in 2014 by the deposed Emir Muhammad Sanusi III.
Marriage
His Royal Highness, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero is married to the younger sister of dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. A marriage that has lasted over three decades
In 2021, it was rumoured that the Emir is set to get married to Hajiyayye his longtime heartthrob.
The emir is the father of four children

Emir Ado Bayero is a nephew of the deposed Emir.
On 3 July 2021, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero was presented with the staff of office and crowned as the new Emir.

The Emir’s net worth is estimated to be around $11 million, making him one of the richest kings in Nigeria.
It was reported that his Emirate garage houses various luxurious fleets including a hand-built British-made uber-luxury Rolls Royce Ghost, a 1959 Rolls Royce Silver, a Wraith and Rolls Royce Phantom VI. Just to mention a few.
