Actors Guild of Nigeria confirms the death of Veteran Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh

Veteran Nollywood actress and television personality, Ada Ameh, has died. Her death was confirmed to Daily Trust via the telephone by the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas.

In the telephone conversation, Rollas said, “It is sad but she is dead, I do not really have the details at the moment.”

However, according to sources, Ada Ameh slumped and was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but died before she got to the building and was pronounced dead upon her arrival.

It should be recalled that, on the 15th of June, the thespian revealed via her verified Instagram account that she had a mental breakdown and was being sued by a firm for not doing a task she was meant to do.

She said: “I have an issue right now and it’s taking my life, but I no go die. We would get over it. I was given a job, but I didn’t do it because I have mental health issues. Will people understand it if you have mental issues? No, they wouldn’t. They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay.”

Moreso, the actress lost her daughter Aladi Godgift in October 2020. Her daughter, Godgift died at the age of 30 after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja.

The actress has spent over two decades in the Nollywood industry, she played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996 and she is also recognised for her lead role in the multi-award-winning Drama The Johnsons.
