Alhaji Aliko Dangote

Aliko Dangote is currently the richest man in Kano State with an estimated net worth of $8.5 billion this year. He is also the richest man in Nigeria as well as Africa’s richest man. Aliko Dangote was born on the 10th of March,1957.

He is a business tycoon, philanthropist, public figure, and the owner of the Dangote Group of companies. He is also into real estate and oil and gas. His soon-to-take-off refinery has been tagged a $15 billion refinery by the Central Bank of Nigeria. This project is rated as the biggest in the world. 

Also, Aliko Dangote has diversified business that cuts across other sectors of the economy.

Abdulsamad Rabiu

Abdulsamad Rabiu is the second richest man in Kano State and his net worth is estimated at $3.2 billion. He is also among the richest Hausa  in the country. He is the founder of BUA Group; a company that specializes in producing concrete, sugar, flour, land, oil, and gas. He is a popular businessman because he belongs to the Hausa-Fulani ethnic group. 

Abdulsamad Rabiu set up the BUA group in 1988 and as of today, the business has gone far to the best of its kind. He took over his father’s business at the age of 25 before launching his own business. 

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso

Rabiu Kwankwaso is rated one of the richest billionaires in Kano State and his Net worth is estimated as $950 million. He is a Nigerian businessman and a politician. He was born in Salamatu town and was a former senator representing Kano central senatorial district.

Also, he was formerly a defense minister and the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives from March 1992 to March 1993. 

He is the founder of the Kwankwasiyya movement. He is no doubt one of the influential political figures in the state. 

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

Muhammad Sanusi is a prominent personality from Kano State. He was born on the 31st of March 1961 and he is from the Dabo Royal Family of Kano. In March 2014, he became the fourteenth Emir of Kano after the demise of his uncle Ado Bayero. However, he was ousted by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on the 9th of March, 2020. His Net worth is valued at $480 million.

He is an economist and a banker. Also, he was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2009 to 2014. Sanusi is a social critic. 

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje

Umar Ganduje is currently the Governor of Kano State and he is among the richest men in Kano State. He was born on the 25th of March,1949 in Ganduje town.  Governor Ganduje has been in politics since1999 serving as the deputy governor and current governor. He was elected the Governor of Kano State in 2015 and he succeeded his predecessor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Ibrahim Shekarau

Basheer Mohammed

Bello Hayatu Gwarzo
