Video: For Osun election, Davido declares “No retreat, No surrender”

Nigerian Singer, Davido is in Ede, Osun State to show support and mobilise voters for his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.

In a post on Thursday, instagram, the artist wrote, “No intimidation. No violence. No retreat. No surrender. ?? ? !!! IMOLE DE !! #osunguber2022 AWA LOKAN”.

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have also arrived in Osun State to campaign for the party’s governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, in Saturday’s election.

Some of the governors in the state at present are Governors Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, who is also the vice presidential candidate of the party.

Also present in the state ahead of the PDP’s Grand Rally on Thursday are a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and top officials of the party, including Vice Chairman South-West Soji Adagunodo.

National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, in a statement on Wednesday, noted that, aside from Atiku and himself, other PDP heavy-weights who will grace tomorrow’s mega-rally in support of Adeleke are serving governors on the party’s platform plus party elders like Ex-Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Ayu charged all stakeholders in Osun State, party faithful and residents to come out en mass to grace the rally.

“I charge every lover of democracy and good governance to come out and identify with the PDP candidate, Sen. Ademola. He is the face of positive change,” Ayu added.
